From JENNGREEN: It is my greatest honor to host such a wonderful soul and fantastic contributor to the abundant Seattle + PNW community and music scene, Shaun Whitcher.

Shaun’s journey into the vibrant underground music scene began in Seattle in 1993, igniting a passion that would shape his career for decades to come. He took his first steps as a DJ in 1995, quickly establishing a presence by spinning at local hotspots like NAF Studios, Club FX as well as various underground and after-hours. From 2000 to 2003, Shaun worked at Platinum Records Seattle, where he honed his expertise in electronic music, discovering emerging artists and influential labels.

His passion for music also led him to a weekly residency on Groovetech’s internet radio, where he showcased his eclectic taste through live broadcasts. In 2003, Shaun transitioned to Rane Corporation as their Technical DJ Expert, where he played a crucial role in launching Serato’s Scratch Live DJ program in 2004. Over the next decade, he significantly contributed to the evolution of Rane. He also made his mark as one of the lead designers of the highly acclaimed MP2015 rotary DJ mixer.

Shaun remains deeply connected to the music he loves, whether he’s dancing to pulsating house and techno beats or curating his favorite tracks behind the decks. His enduring passion for music continues to define his vibrant career, inspiring both himself and those around him!

In 2025, Shaun actively plays sets at Diffusion, Monkey Loft and weekly at Blue Moon Tavern! Shaun is devoted to supporting PNW collectives and events providing performances for Shameless Productions, Innerflight Music, CascadiaNW Arts & Music, Back of the House, Viva Recordings, Train Car House Party, Selector Records, C895 FM, Proton Radio, Brunch Bounce, Reflect, Cafe Racer and more!

Assassin Star

Originally from the west side of Chicago, Assassin Star is inspired by the house music of her hometown, but she is interested in bass-fueled music that connects us across geographical borders. Her moniker comes from UK artist Shanks’ “Assassin Star” song, among many UK artists and tunes that inspire her eclectic style. Assassin Star got her start at house parties in Central Illinois, where she was inspired by J.Phlip, the late DJ Impact. Shortly after starting to DJ, she moved back to her hometown Chicago where she played open mics at Lava Lounge to hone her skills. She went on to hold residencies with DJ REDLOX and General Pacman and as a solo act at Guess Hookah Lounge. She has played the Darkroom in Chicago, Cowboy Monkey in Champaign, IL and more!

Azmito (Azmi Haroun) is a local Syrian-American DJ and producer from Seattle, who encourages you to move your body for a free Syria. Having spent time living in Morocco, France, LA and NY, and as a lifelong musician, he has collected a deep archive of sultry dance music past, present, and future from around the world. His selections are influenced by a keen ear for sensual late-night dancefloor sounds from all eras, and an endless search for the lushest chords and kinetic rhythms.

Having recorded multiple mixes on NTS and particle FM, Azmito’s sets and mixes are locked in a continuous, fluid groove of house, techno, modern funk elation, sharing his mostly vinyl sets with dancers and party people in Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago and Egypt.

CBDiabla is a Mexican, Seattle based DJ and aspiring producer. Inspired by the immersive world building and sense of agency lived through video games, her selections traverse different territories and atmospheres, from vast natural worlds to murky catacombs.

Drake Pfeiffer (.dmp) is a DJ/organizer hailing from the PNW. From his beginnings DJing underground events before they were 21; Drake has spent the last nine years of his life engaging with his local community through multiple weekly/monthly residencies, DJing across the west coast, one-off events, fundraisers, multiple mix series’s, and a DIY A/V project that aired on Seattle Public Access TV. His very early obsession with music and love of uplifting artists around him have inspired him to create the career he has today.

Drake has provided support for artists such as Analog Soul, Diskonnected, Mykki Blanco, Anthea, Oshana, Michael Magnan, Annika Wolfe, and Femanyst. He has also played for notable events such as Ever Afters, Gays Hate Techno, Research, FancyFeast, Backdoor, Makes Me Human, and SLIP.

His latest project is Distant Signals: a loosely-conceptual mix series where each mix is a transmission from an exquisite corpse universe that each submission helps create. Formed in 2022; it has reached over 28k listens and had a mix featured in Resident Advisor Mix of the Day. With currently 60+ mixes; his intention with the project is to highlight artists around the world spanning all genres and perspectives to truly encapsulate the vastness of a universe and explore all that we do/don’t understand.

Dirty J (Peer Pressure)

Jackson (he/him), aka Dirty J, originated from an abandoned lighthouse off the rocky coast of Maine, and has traveled far and wide to make it to the PNW. Growing up, Dirty J was heavily influenced by rock 'n' roll and lyrically-imbued hip-hop, but more recently has found a passion for house music and EDM culture. Learning how to produce in 2020, Dirty J transitioned into DJing after moving to Seattle in 2021 and linking up with @orionent.
