AK SPORTS

Raised in Australia and now based between LA and London, AK SPORTS productions, DJ sets and mixes are a melting pot of rave and techno flavours, equally inspired by the old school and the new. On Beatportal's 'one to watch' list and coined by Dummy Mag as one of the best emerging producers - AK’s take on techno sees an impressive blend of hard techno and trance, electro, breakbeat, hybrid psy-trance and 160+. AK spins anything pushing the boundaries or switching up the narrative - as long as it’s hard, fast & fun! AK SPORTS’s own imprint Club Madhouse debut VA has been named by Mixmag as one of the best albums of the year so far in 2024. This is a testament to AK SPORTS’s daring sonic revolution in hard & fast, gritty breaks and big techno kicks bringing together an array of femme, non-binary, and ally artists, showcasing their unique sounds alongside AK themselves. Most notably, AK will be dropping an official rework of the iconic Peaches - Pussy Mask in August 2024 via Club Madhouse alongside with a hardcore breakbeat inspired EP suitably labeled MISCHIEF. AK SPORTS sees diverse releases on esteemed labels such as RAW, Astral People, Gallery, Shall Not Fade to name a few and a 45 minute cassette tape via Club Glow Tapes London which received acclaim on DJ Mag as one of the top releases of 2021. No stranger to touring, AK SPORTS has played some of the most established events around the world including EDC Las Vegas + Mexico City & the official after party w/ Sara Landry, hosting LA’s first Boiler Room under their collective WARP MODE (AK Sports, Bianca Oblivion, Star Eyes), Boiler Room Bangalore & Gurgaon, Pitch Music and Arts, RSO Berlin, HÖR, Let Them Eat Cake, SITG, Fusion Festival and closing the iconic Temple Stage at Glastonbury. 2024 has also seen AK play at Miami Music Week, Factory Town, Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Official Afterparty, Razzmatazz, Fabric as well as headlining the Techno Stage at Electric Forest being praised as the best artist of the weekend. AK has also headlined various tastemaker clubs across globe including two sold out Mexico City shows as well as playing with the likes of I Hate Models, Sara Landry, Ellen Allien, and Indira Paganotto + toured the USA b2bing with superstar Victoria (Måneskin). Forthcoming official rework for queer icon Peaches + a string of high profile gigs to come AK is clearly not slowing down and further cementing themself as one of the most exciting new producers in the high energy realms breaking boundaries under new-world-rave!
